Game Data Analyst - Exciting and Established Mobile Studio Posted Dec 20, 2016

We seek a highly driven and capable analyst to contribute to the creation and on-going optimisation of successful free-to-play games.

You will understand that creating great gaming experiences that engage players and monetise effectively, requires both great game design and rigorous analysis. 

You will want to be involved in both sides of this process but have a strong focus on the latter and work towards achieving specific business goals.

As an analyst, you will help predict, shape and understand user behavior by drawing upon game design principles, an understanding of economics as applied to games, plus information discovery and data interpretation.

Responsibilities:
Retrieve and analyse logged data, conduct A/B tests, interpret the results and make recommendations.
Model user behaviour and game economies based upon previous findings, all relevant available data and reasoning from first principles.
Contribute towards the direction of the development of tools for tracking and understanding user behaviour.
Effectively communicate with key internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure proper collection of data and useful reporting.

Requirements:
Initiative and a drive for learning.
Statistical training or practical experience in data analysis.
A working knowledge of SQL.
An understanding of the strengths, weaknesses and limitations of different statistical methods.
Excellent data reporting and presentation skills.
Self-management skills and the ability to prioritise your own work.
Preference for those with prior analytical experiences with games or other digital media.
Working knowledge of a scripting or programming language also preferable.
