We are looking for a Design Manager to manage our design teams – from career development to mentoring, and from recruitment to pre-selecting new talent. As the successful candidate, you will work with our Design Leads and Studio Management to determine and execute our Design Talent strategy.
What You Will Do:
You will help maintain a high-performance team and manage performance consistently.
You will drive performance goals for the design teams, manage the review process, and follow up with regular evaluations.
You will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and the career development of our design team members.
You will maintain healthy team relationships through resolving conflict and reducing tensions where they affect performance.
You will drive the process of hiring new talent, including pre-selection, interviews and onboarding.
You will build and maintain a strategy for University relations, intern and new graduate hiring.
Who You Are:
You have an excellent grasp of design standards and best practices, and you champion these for others to follow.
You are able to maintain a balanced but diverse team, and manage their performance consistently.
You have a proven track record as a Senior Game Designer, with more than one AAA title shipped.
You have experience with recruiting, coaching and mentoring designers and managing their professional development.
You are extremely flexible and able to adapt in a constantly changing work environment.
You have very good organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
